The practitioners at Healthy Body Healthy Mind practice both Japanese and Chinese Style Acupuncture.
Acupuncture is the use of fine (thinner than a hair) needles that are inserted in specific points on the body to help correct the flow of qi (energy) in the body. Correcting the energy flow in one’s body allows them to heal on both emotional and physical levels.
Chinese acupuncture uses specific points that have specific functions. The needles are often larger than Japanese style and the needling technique is often more stimulating. These treatments are often in one area of the body and though effective, do not always heal the complex multi level issues that may arise in your healing process.
Japanese acupuncture is a whole body treatment in which very thin needles are used to balance the meridians and pulses in your body. This is a more in depth style of acupuncture that allows the practitioner to treat the complex multi level problems so many of our patients have today. A person can treat many different ailments in the same treatment. This allows for a quicker, and through our experience, more successful healing process.
